Broody again

Sammy is broody again. She sits in the nesting box all puffed up. Today I pulled her out to eat fresh grass. Hope it helps.

Spring in the Garden

It's spring.  There are new flowers and plants in the garden.

It's a nice day so the chickens get to go out.  

But Bonita is stuck in her nest laying an egg.

Noni's hut

My friend and I made a hut for Noni.

We tiled it.

We used sand to make it stick.

My friend Claire did the tiling and did the sand room (it is more of a mud room now).

We made it for Noni but Gale is now using it for a spring board and it is getting destroyed.

Sage

Sage has grown a lot! She is the size of Zozo without the feathers.

She is soooo beautiful!

She is living with the flock now. Sunset has taken her back. They now sleep together. But sometimes..... Sage hangs out in her hut me and my friend Claire built for her.

I can't wait until she starts to lay eggs!!!!

New things everywhere

First thing,

we got a new dog! Her name is Gale. We got her from the humane society. She was 3 months old. Now she is 4 months.

Sage has gotten very big. Yesterday we let Sage into the flock. Everyone hung out with her and didn't peck her but Sunset pecked and pecked her, but last night, they were sitting together in the nesting box.

A week ago we let Sage and the big chickens out. Sage was eating corn when Bonita came running and ate next to her.
