The Tree Slices

Once they finished cutting off all the branches what was left of it looked like a piece of broccoli with all the leaves off of it.

The guys sawed the broccoli top off and it floated over our house.  It weighed about 5000 lbs.

Up

Up

And Away!!!!

Water was dripping off of it.
Then they cut off another piece.

Then they cut another one.

The tree was so short they only needed to use a ladder.
Their saw got stuck in the tree.  They had to pull it out.
Then there was only one piece left.  It was about a 9 foot piece.  They didn't even need a ladder.  They kneeled on the ground and went around the tree.

When they were almost done the saw ran out of fuel.  They left the saw in the tree, ran and got the fuel and put it in the saw.  Then they sawed it off all the way.  It WAS hollow!  Now I can plant my garden inside of it.

This is inside of the stump.

The diameter of the stump was 68 inches at its biggest point.

Its smallest point was 64 inches in diameter.

It was so deep someone could live in there.  It was all mushy near the hole.  It was dark by the time they finished.

I can't wait until I get to plant my garden!
